This collection contains materials related to Lone Jack High School in Lone Jack, Missouri. The majority of the collection is student newspapers, most of which were created during World War II, offering insights to the experiences of students during the conflict. Two student newspapers are included, Newetta and School Daze. One folder contains issues and pages with no dates. There is also a folder containing a program for the schools 1946 Dramatics Contests.

This collection contains a scrapbook from Maude Zallee Jefferis. This scrapbook primarily contains messages, autographs, photographs, drawings, and paintings from her classmates at Soldan High School in St. Louis, Missouri. There are also two groups of photos in the collection which were found in the scrapbook. These include senior photographs of Zallee Jeffries’s classmates, as well as some older photographs of babies, which are unidentified.

This collection contains register books from the circuit court and schools of Nodaway County, Missouri. The collection also contains two registers of prisoners in Nodaway County Jail, as well as an atlas containing a plat map of Nodaway County.

Scope and Contents Items in this collection were found in yearbooks that were donated to the library. The yearbooks have been donated by individuals and the items left were of a personal nature such as photographs, programs from a school event, or a graduation announcements. When possible, the school and year were noted when the item was removed from the yearbook. Scope and Contents All the items in the collection were donated together, but relate to the Guthrie, Sherman, and Grindley families. All are from the Kansas City area, but the connection between the families is not clear from the items. Some of the photographs in the collection are identified. Several school photographs from Ravenwood Elementary in North Kansas City School District and Chrisman High School in Independence, Missouri have the names of those in the group photographs identified.
