Abell Family Bible
Akes Family Bible
The first page of records states, “Peter Akes his Bible May 2nd 1830.” The family Bible contains names and dates of births, marriages, and deaths of the Akes family. Several handwritings indicate different people recorded the dates in the Bible over time. The Bible is missing the front and back cover as well as many of the Bible pages. All of the family record pages between the Old and New Testaments remained intact.

Aldersgate United Methodist Church Collection
This collection contains record books and registers related to the Aldersgate United Methodist Church at its various locations in Kansas City, Missouri. The collection also contains various documents related to membership and transfers of membership to the church, as well as photocopies of various birth and marriage records.
Alfred Megrail Papers
This collection consists of two letters from the Jefferson County Genealogical Library addressed to Peter Wilson, one page of lined paper that lists the names and locations of genealogical research, four short correspondences from Alfred Megrail from various dates, and one journal of Alfred Megrail dated 1860. The items in this collection range from 1860 to 1984.
American Ex-Prisoners of War-Heart of America Chapter Collection
This collection consists of scrapbooks and photographs that document the American Ex-Prisoners of War-Heart of America Chapter‘s activities. Also included in this collection is a manuscript for the book Former American Prisoners of War Tell Their Stories and a history of Stalag IVB, Muhlberg, Germany.
Antle Cemetery Collection
The collection consists headstone photographs taken by Bethel 29, Independence International Order of Job’s Daughters (Independence, MO) in 1992. The photographs are in color and a typed transcription of the information from the headstone is included. The photos are arranged by row and includes an index. The oldest date found on a headstone is from 1843 and the most recent date is from 1903. Family names inlucde Antle, Karns/Kerns, Kelley, Miller, and Schweedler.

This collection contains the 1928-1930 issues of the German magazine Archiv für Sippenforschung und alle verwandten Gebiete, which contain articles and information about genealogical research. The collection is entirely in German. Volumes for the years 1928 and 1929 also contain indexes for the year’s publications of the magazine.
Baird Family Collection
This collection contains correspondence and postcards from the Baird family in Waukesha, Wisconsin. Most of the collection dates to the 1940s and is related to Roger A. Baird's service in the Navy during World War II. The collection also contains letters from Alice Baird, who was married to Roger Baird in 1942. Another folder includes postcards from 1918 and 1944, as well as Report Cards from the University of Wisconsin.
Bass Family Bible
The family register in the middle of the Bible begin with the marriage of William Albert Bass and Ann Joyce Burroughs. The pages contain pedigree charts for the father’s family and the mother’s family. Other pages include information about children and grandchildren as well as pages to record things to remember.
