Brackenbury Family History
As I Live and Breathe and Okuna and the Kabuki Dance are both hand printed autobiography of Robert Brackenbury telling of his family history as well as his experiences growing up during the Depression, serving in the military in World War II, and his family life after the war. Other stories from his life are recorded in an oral history through the Tell Me A Story program at the Midwest Genealogy Center.
Rachel Owsley Barton Papers
This collection contains the reminiscences of Rachel Minerva Owsley Barton, written from 1890 to 1914. The collection also contains a transcription of the papers compiled by Donna Eitel in 2023. Also included are a set of land records from 1826-1841 in Indiana, Illinois, and Massachusetts, which were likely owned by Thomas Owsley (1806-1882).
