This collection consists of the family Bible for the Benjamin Howland Smith family. This Bible contains family records for births, marriages, and deaths for Benjamin, his wife Silvia Slocum, and their children. The records also contain information on Benjamin’s second wife, Rebecca Kirby. Also included in this collection are the scanned family record pages, a pamphlet found in the Bible dated 1959, and a family unit chart.

Shawnee Masonic Lodge #54 presented the family Bible to Maxine (McCollum) Treas on 20 April 1988. The family record pages are written in the same handwriting except for Maxine’s death date. The record pages include information on Maxine and her husband, her grandparents, child, and grandchildren.

The Bible was presented to Harry Vickers by Patricia Vickers in 1956 upon becoming a Master Mason in the Freemasons. The Bible has a section for family history, military service, and pertinent masonic information.
