Genealogy

This collection consists of the family Bible for the John BUSHNER family. This Bible contains family records for births, marriages, and deaths for John, his wife Charlotte SCHWEITZER, and their children. The records also contain information on individuals with the following surnames: CLAY, SCHWEITZER, and TIPTON. Also included in this collection are the scanned family record pages, items found within the Bible, and a family unit chart.

This collection consists of family history documents for the Cady family, including: history, register report, family group charts, and lineages.

Most of the family Bible records are in the same handwriting. The Bible include Caldwell, Cooper, Scott, and Darnell families from Dover, Lafayette, Missouri. Record of births, marriages, and deaths are written on the family record pages of the Bible. Also included on the record sheets are a handwritten epitaph and a handwritten obituary.

This collection contains manuscripts and notes used to write family histories on both the Stevens family and Gray family. Casimir P Stevens used the information from his genealogical research to write several books on both families from about 1918 to 1940. Typed original copies of his books were included in the donation and have been added to the Midwest Genealogy Center book collection. Photographs of family members in the collection date around the early twentieth century.

This collection consists of the genealogy research of Helen Clements. The completed work from this research is titled Clements Family Records and was finished in 1972. Within this work are genealogy charts, family history, and transcribed records. Also found within this collection are photographs, correspondence, Bible records, genealogy charts, and miscellaneous family histories.

Ancestors of this family originally resided in the eastern United States, specifically Virginia, before migrating west into Kentucky and Missouri.

This collection contains the genealogy research and personal papers for Margery Lee Cunningham and her aunt, Margery Adeline Ford. Other surnames found within this collection include English, Morehead, Morlock, and Wharton. The genealogy research contains photographs, obituaries, family charts, a family history, and vital records among other items. The personal papers include correspondence and legal documents.

This collection is digital images only. The owner of the original diary and family Bible loaned the items to the library to be digitized. The collection consists of a diary written by D. F. Bone during the year 1900. Both images of the diary and a transcription are included. Several pages from D.F. Bone’s family Bible including all the family record sheets with birth, marriage and death information about the Bone and Cox family have been digitized and included in the collection.
