Merchant's Directory Collection
This collection contains issues of the Merchant's Directory, a small newspaper from Mullinville, Kansas, published from 1969 to 1986. This collection includes issues from volumes 1 through 18.
MGC Photograph Collection
The Midwest Genealogy Center receives donations relating to family history and genealogy. Photos that do not fit into existing collections become a part of the photo collection. Many photos have identifiable information with the photos or on the backs of the photos while others are unidentified. Many photos have come from estate sales or from donors who have no connection to the family.
Midwest Genealogy Center Collection
This collection primary covers the history of the genealogy branch of Mid-Continent Public Library, which has been located in several buildings in Independence, Missouri over the years. Included in this collection are photographs of staff, events, customers, and buildings. Many of the photographs have been scrapbooked. Other items in the collection are representative of the work done at the library including programs, newsletters, sign-in sheets, and thank you cards.

The Midwest Genealogy Center receives donations relating to family history and genealogy. Folders that don’t fit into existing collection become a part of the ephemeral collection. Folders can include unidentified photographs, pamphlets, programs, and more. Also included are items found in donated books.

This collection contains various newspapers published in the United States. The newspapers found within this collection are original items and were published in the 19th and 20th century. Titles include the Daily News, Rosecrans Flyer, Sweet Springs Herald, Baker Orange, The Northeast News, and the Northeast Shopper, The Confederate, Young America, and The Centennial Record.
Mildred I. Seburn Clark Collection
This collection contains research on the several family lines of the Seburn family. The research as well as charts and forms were compiled into comb bound books by family name or topic.

Mitchell Family Bible
The family Bible contains names and dates of the Mitchell family. Primarily following Rebecca Mitchell and her husband, Lycurous Garrett, and their descendants. Record of births, marriages, and deaths are written on the family record pages of the Bible.
Nadine Hodges Collection
This collection contains Nadine Hodges’ manuscripts with research notes. These manuscripts cover counties in Missouri and quit rent rolls in Virginia. The majority of the manuscripts were published between 1960 and 1970. Significant gaps for which no manuscripts exist: 1706-1820.
