Biographical / Historical

Harold Moore Clute was born November 11, 1900 in Johnson County, Nebraska. During his life he was part of several organizations including the Boy Scouts of America, the National Guard, and the Army Corp of Engineers. Harold was employed as an engineer after WWII, working for the federal government on public projects such as irrigation development and water conservation. Clute retired after forty one years of service; thirty four of those were spent in Kansas City, Missouri. He died August 24, 1992 and was buried in Sutton, Nebraska.

Harold Clute had an interest in his own family’s history and researched his genealogy. This collection reflects Clute’s interest in the history of his family and contains materials referring to multiple members of his family. Clute traced his lineage back to the American Revolution.
