Biographical / Historical
Margery Lee Cunningham was born July 31, 1932 in Columbia, Missouri to Robert Cunningham and Hallie Ford. The Cunningham family moved to Jefferson City, Missouri where Margery graduated from Jefferson City High School in 1950. She subsequently attended the University of Missouri where she earned a degree in Journalism. Margery worked as an editor for the Missouri State Teachers Association. She died on February 9, 1998 and was buried in Columbia, Missouri.
Margery Adeline Ford was born February 1, 1896 in Kentucky to Llewellyn Ford and Lucy English. The Ford Family moved to Missouri in the early 1910s and farmed land in Moniteau County. By 1920, the family was living in Columbia, Boone County, Missouri. Margery worked in the auditing bureau of the Missouri Highway Department for 34 years. She died on June 26, 1988 and was buried in Columbia, Missouri.
